In a quiet village by the Black Sea, local police officer Cosmina investigates the suspicious death of a construction worker. Just before she connects the victim to a missing girl from a local foster home, the homicide unit quickly closes the case. Haunted by her own sister’s disappearance years ago, Cosmina goes against procedure and decides to solve the case on her own. As more bodies come to surface, she is the only one who believes there’s a mysterious humanlike creature lurking in the water.
